I would like to see if the Vista 64 bit Carelink USB drivers will install in Win7 64bit. If so, I would like to know how you managed to get it working? If you are able to get this working in Vista 64 bit, can you share the files in your Medtronic directory. I'm wondering if anyone has this working in Vista 64 bit or win7 64 bit. I expect the install tool by default chooses WinXP 32bit or Vista 32bit, and downloads the wrong USB Carelink drivers. I proceed past this error, but I think it uses the OS to determine which driver to download. Second, earlier on in the install process the Medtronic java app reports that it does not know what the OS is. You can see this in the log file that the install script creates. It reports that it can't run in a 64 bit OS. When I run the driver install script that the java code downloads into the Medtronic directory, I notice the "registration" (can't remember the exact command name) command fails. So I'm curious if this is a 64 bit win7 problem. 3) Deleted the Medtronic directory as ntcrash described 4) Started IE as Admin as ntcrash described 5) Changed USB ports I still get exact same failure. 2) I then checked the registry to make sure all previously added keys were removed. 1) I actually performed a driver rollback on the installation as well since I noticed part of the drivers succesfully copied into the windows32 directory and several registry entries were created. Hi ntcrash and others that have Carelink USB installed, I followed you instructions without any luck.
